Mysillyum, or My-silly-yum, is a series of refrigerated mushroom-based meat substitute meals that are contained in an innovative packaging system that is fully compostable. Mysillyum products aim to reduce carbon footprint while also creating a yummy meal containing none of the harmful additives that the typical meat substitute possesses. Utilizing the upstream innovation strategies of elimination and material circulation, the interior food-safe protective layer is a bag made of heat-sealed uncoated cellophane, the exterior box is made of citrus waste paper and it is printed with soy-based Risograph inks.

In addition to the production of the packaging itself, I conceptualized and photographed/digitally produced a campaign that emphasizes the fun, authenticity, sustainability, and of course yumminess of the product.

Mysillyum Visual Identity

Mysillyum's visual identity is strongly influenced by the Risograph printing process. The colors are based on the limited ink color selection that the Risograph possesses. The font Azo sans was chosen for its clarity when printed. The logotype is inspired by the organic shape of the mushroom.
